The Harleysville Rotary Club, Harleysville Jaycees, Harleysville Lions Club and Harleysville Community Center will host the 43rd Annual Harleysville Halloween Parade and 6th Annual Fun Fest on Saturday, October 24.
Parade registration and line-up will begin at 9:30am at Indian Valley Middle School, followed by judging at 10am and the start of the parade at 10:30am.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
- Babies and toddlers
- Pre-K and kindergarten
- Grades 1–3
- Grades 4–6
- Individuals
- Groups of two or more
- Pets
- Non-motorized floats
- Motorized floats
All parade participants will receive a free hot dog and drink.
The parade will begin at Indian Valley Middle School and travel along Maple Avenue, School Lane, Kulp Road and Park Avenue before ending at the Harleysville Community Center.
Following the parade, the Halloween Fun Fest will take place from 11am to 1pm at the Harleysville Community Center. Festivities will include children’s games, music, a magician, parade prizes, and food and drinks available for purchase. The Japheth Rittenhouse Band will perform from 11am to 12:30pm.
The schedule also includes:
- 10:45am – Games area opens
- 11:15am – Parade prizes awarded and food available
- 11:45am – Candy drop for children from the fire company’s ladder truck
The event will be held rain or shine, with no rain date scheduled.
