Lower Salford Township has launched a new community activity that makes it easy to discover the birds living in our local parks.

During your next park visit, look for the bird-listening activity sign in the kiosk. Download the Merlin Bird ID app, select “Sound ID” and begin listening. The app identifies nearby birds by their songs and calls, helping you recognize the different species around you.

After exploring, scan the QR code on the kiosk sign to complete a quick survey and tell us which birds you heard. Survey responses will help the Township learn more about the bird species being identified throughout our parks.
