A Code Red Hot Weather Emergency has been declared on the following days:
Wednesday, July 1 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
A Code Red Hot Weather Emergency is declared when the temperature or heat index is expected to be at or above 100°F or higher for two or more hours. Extreme heat can be life-threatening, especially for older adults, young children, and those with health conditions.
Please take steps to stay safe:
- Stay hydrated
- Avoid strenuous activity during peak heat
- Check on neighbors, especially seniors
- Never leave children or pets in vehicles
