Property Maintenance
- Sidewalks – All sidewalks are required to be kept in a proper state of repair and free from hazardous conditions. Changes in level between sidewalk panels that are between ¼ inch and ½ inch shall be beveled. A change greater than ½ inch shall be repaired to not exceed ¼ inch. All vegetation shall be trimmed and cleared to remove any and all potential hazards along the sidewalk. A permit is required for the replacement of sidewalk panels along a street.
- Lawns should be properly maintained not to exceed a height of 10 inches.
- Rubbish – All exterior areas are required to be properly maintained and free from any accumulation of rubbish or garbage.
Emptying Water from Swimming Pools, Hot Tubs, and Spas
It is unlawful to discharge water from pools, hot tubs, and spas down the drain, into the sanitary sewer system, into the street, into any inlet or storm sewer system, indirectly or directly into a stream or water body, or onto a neighboring property. Click here for more information
Moving a Business into the Township
Use and Occupancy Permit required (U&O Application and Emergency Contact form needed)
Commercial Fire Inspections
The Township conducts Annual Commercial Fire Inspections, which involve unannounced visits from the Township’s Fire Inspector. For the best rate, payment for this inspection must be made in January.
Bamboo
The planting or growing of bamboo is prohibited within the Township. If bamboo is growing on your property, it is required to be removed.
